Paper and Pendants workshop. Saturday 29th March 2025, Sale, South Manchester
Sken Studios and Caroline Dowsett join forces to deliver a joyful double-whammy workshop: Paper and Pendants.
Artist Caroline Dowsett will lead you through making a series of collages, using prompts from scapes of flowers on the tables and self expression. These shapes and compositions learnt through collage making together will lead to inspire your pendant piece. 2 x A5 pieces and an A6 card to gift to loved ones, or yourself, shall be made during the session which you can take home to keep!
Sabira, founder of Sken Studios, will teach you the ancient technique of wax carving. You’ll learn how to sculpt soft jewellers wax to make your own unique pendant. Take inspiration from your own collage, or design something new. After the workshop, your wax pendant will be cast in solid recycled silver, polished to perfection, then posted directly to you.
The workshop is taught in an informal, relaxed settings with plenty of tunes, brews and snacks.
When: Saturday 29th March 2025 , 11am - 2pm
Cost: £140 Eco-silver / £155 Gold plated Eco-silver
Level: Beginner. No experience needed.
You will make:
2 x A5 collage pieces
1 x A6 card to then give to loved one, or yourself
1 x Silver pendant, with chain. This will be cast, polished sent to you approx 4 weeks after the class.
Location: First Floor, 35 Wynnstay Road, Sale, M33 7DW
The workshop space is in the centre of Sale, South Manchester, only a 5 minute walk from the tram stop with parking close by.
Good to know:
- Tea, coffee and snacks are provided.
- You have the option on the day of the workshop to upgrade your ring to gold vermeil (+£15) or solid gold (price upon request).
- Your pendant can be polished to a mirror or matte finish.

Cancellation Policy: If you are no longer able to attend your booking, you can do this up to 7 days before the start date, with no cancellation fee. We will happily transfer your booking on to a later workshop date.
If your cancellation is within 7 days of the start of the workshop, I’m afraid you will incur a cancellation fee of £15 in order to switch to a later workshop date. If you’d prefer to transfer your place to another person instead of cancelling, we will just need to know the name of the new person joining us.
